Hi, I’m Paul Shires and I make my living trading the Betfair tennis markets.
I discovered Betfair trading in 2008 and started to come up with ways to make money on the tennis markets. I learned quickly, despite having to use trial and error as there was no-one to help me. In June 2010, I left my job and I now trade on Betfair for a living.

Why Tennis Trading?
The vast majority of Betfair traders stick to the sport they know most about, especially when they're just getting started. However, there are consistently profitable opportunities beyond the likes of football and horse racing.
For example, there are many more significant events in a tennis match compared with football. Due to the scoring format with a player being able to win a game in just four points, matches can turn around very quickly.
This creates price movement and opportunities to profit; a big reason why tennis trading is so popular with Betfair traders.
There are matches played most days and market liquidity is excellent, so tennis really is the ideal sport to trade.
How Easy is Tennis Trading?
I believe in keeping things simple. You can quickly get overwhelmed by theories, statistics and opinions from other people, but I don't see the point in any of that.
Tennis trading is as straightforward as you want it to be. You need to correctly predict the direction that the price of a player will move in, either a short term or a longer term price move, but essentially that's it.
Ideally, I'd gaze into a crystal ball and see the future! Unfortunately, that's not yet available so I use stats and trends to identify recurring patterns. I also use a few clever tricks to spot low risk opportunities which can pay off really well.
I'm going to show you how to do all of that, very simply and without over-complicating anything.

I've used a number of stats sites and data sources over the years. Some of them are pretty good, but none have provided all the information that I need as a trader.
